Side Hustlin’

Playing bike polo is a lot of fun. I started playing it around 2008. The sport has existed as a hardcourt game for about 25 years (as a grass court game for over a century!) and has developed its own subculture. Slang, memes, personalities, global involvement; all there. I’ve designed t-shirts and other products to help my local club raise money in the past. Recently, I have felt an itch to also make some more things related to bike polo that didn’t pertain to my club. This inspired creating BikePolo.Me, a web store for fun Bike Polo apparel and accessories! Check it out. Join in on the fun!

Me, Bike Polo, and After Effects

I’ve been meaning to learn Adobe After Effects for quite some time but never found the time. In the spirit of the “summer enrichment” routine that I’ve been putting my kids through (online assignments, Duolingo, and many library visits) , I finally prioritized the undertaking. Since I already had assets available for the social media managing I do for my bike polo club it seemed like a fun and convenient subject to use. Here are three social spots I made to promote the club.

This video utilizes some animation that I had made previously. It’s incorporated using motion tracking.
